Chad Gluss for Mayor

I would like to thank all Olmsted Falls voters for entrusting me to serve our community as your next Mayor.

You are cordially invited to the swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, January 2, 2026 at 8:00p.m. in the Olmsted Falls City Hall Council Chambers.

MY BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS

I have an unmatched understanding of our city’s operations. As Councilman and former firefighter/Chief (retired) for Olmsted Falls, I’ve seen firsthand how every department functions and have built strong, decades-long working relationships with our Police, Fire, and Service personnel. I’ve also developed relationships with our Finance Director, Law Director, board and commission members, business owners, and community leaders.

I deeply understand our city’s budget, services, and strategic partnerships. As a member of our City’s Finance, Insurance, Service, & Utilities Committees, and as our Southwest General Hospital Council Representative, I have the knowledge and experience needed to understand our city’s complex workings from the ground up. This is the experience Olmsted Falls needs in its next Mayor.

MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND POSITIONS

  1. Voted on legislations to amend the CRA to remove the tax abatement for new residential developments (Voted yes on 56-2024)
  2. Co-sponsored legislation to create a moratorium on new residential development until impact studies can be completed on:
    • Traffic
    • City Resources
    • Schools
  3. I will work to reduce city property taxes
  4. I will strive to increase city hall transparency for residents, including adding live, online viewing access to council meetings.
  5. Staunch supporter of Fire Department, Police Department, and Service Department
  6. Staunch supporter of CERT (Community Emergency Response Team)
  7. Adamantly opposed to tax abatements for residential developments
  8. I will work to help reduce the feral cat population
  9. I will strive to make Olmsted Falls a more walkable community
